Certified Industrial Hygienist/Certified Safety Professional

Job Summary

A Senior Environmental Health and Safety Consultant is sought to lead an industrial hygiene and occupational safety services group and to help implement a focused business development program.  This position offers excellent growth opportunity through existing Federal contracts and expanding private sector client needs.

This position will provide leadership and technical support in the areas of:  environmental, health, and safety consulting services; safety and industrial hygiene consulting; industrial hygiene/indoor air quality surveys; preparation and/or review of site safety plans; environmental management systems consulting and program development; technical report preparation and/or review;  occupational safety and health program development-preparation; training program development and training program presentation; and quality assurance/quality control technical review.

QualificationsUS Citizen or permanent work statusBS or MS degree in Industrial Hygiene, Public Health or related science field.Experience in consulting highly desired; Federal program experience a plus.Must be certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) as a (CIH) Certified Industrial Hygienist and by the Board of Safety Professionals as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP)Strong communication, staff management, and leadership abilities.
Base Location

This position is based in Reston, Virginia but may also include specific project work opportunities on a short-term basis throughout the United States.
