 The Financial Systems Analyst supports PMI’s Enterprise Planning (EP) system application. The Analyst develops and maintains financial models, processes, validations, metrics, controls, analyses, reports, and documentation within the EP framework. The incumbent works independently on most projects/assignments, receiving direction from the Director or senior team member on new projects and more complex assignments.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provides functional and technical support for enterprise planning software and models. Develops, tests, implements, documents, maintains, enhances, and updates EP financial models and data structures. Supports the EP administrator as needed to maintain security and access, troubleshoot and resolve problems, ensure data integrity, ensure system uptime and accessibility, implement system updates, and provide customer/user support. Assists FP&A team and other internal business partners to support the preparation of financial forecasts, including monthly and quarterly financial forecasts, annual operating plans/budgets and multi-year financial projections. Develops accurate, timely financial and management reporting to support analysis and decision-making. Supports FP&A data and reporting needs, including designing, maintaining, updating, running, automating and distributing queries and reports from EP, Cognos BI data tables, PeopleSoft, and other financial systems. Works with PMI’s Cognos BI team to coordinate data flows, reports, and processes between EP and BI. Interfaces with third party vendors and consultants as needed. Develops and maintains project documentation such as business requirements and application design documents based on business rules and specifications. Supports the research and resolution of issues in enterprise planning applications, including analyzing data in different transaction systems and identifying and communicating important issues to FP&A and/or IT. Trains FP&A end users on the EP models and tools, answering end user questions and providing end user support. Identifies and recommends improvements in current standards and implementation of system changes.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Knowledge & Skills:

Demonstrated knowledge of EP and BI (Cognos) software, technologies, and model design, including the ability to understand and manipulate complex source and target data structures. Experience working with SQL servers and databases.
Outstanding analytical and modeling skills. Strong organization skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Education & Experience:
Required knowledge and skills would typically be acquired through a BS in Computer Science or equivalent and 5 -7 years of experience in development, deployment and operations of financial planning and reporting systems. Some demonstrated experience with EP Cognos is required.
