Collections Boone Call Center

HomEq Servicing is a leading full service mortgage servicing company owned by Barclays Capital. We are a growing company with offices located in Sacramento, CA, Raleigh, NC, and in Boone, NC. HomEq offers unique opportunities throughout the organization and we are currently looking for Mortgage Loan Counselors/Collectors for our Boone offices to start work May 8, 2008.


Responsibilities include:
Receives and/or places telephone calls regarding customer inquiries, disputes, and payment posting issues. Answering calls varying from routine to moderately complex. Addresses inquiries, resolves problems. Navigates a computerized system for tracking, information gathering, and/or trouble shooting. Must maintain awareness of the need to conduct all collection activities within State, Federal, and Company regulations and guidelines.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of one consecutive year of inside/outside sales, retail and/or customer service. Must be comfortable contacting and counseling delinquent mortgage loan customers. HS diploma or GED required. Previous collections and/or mortgage servicing experience a plus. Spanish/English bilingual a plus.


Requirements include:

PC experience required (Word, Excel, or equivalent exp.) Proven effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time. Strong reading comprehension and a minimum typing speed of 25 WPM. Attention to detail with accurate documentation and follow up skills required. Proven customer service skills, self-movitation, positive attitude, and drive to succeed.Benefits:

Starting pay starts at $9.00 per hour plus monthly incentives. Starting pay is based on prior experience. Fulltime and a variety of part-time schedules are available. We also offer a great benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401k and more.
