The Senior Compensation Consultant is responsible for compiling, evaluating and analyzing salary data to help make fact-based decisions for a variety of clients across industries. Utilizing an array of compensation surveys, the incumbent will compile and analyze survey results, recommend pay ranges and conduct complex gap analysis to determine clients' market positions. He/she will also assist clients in evaluating their current organization structures and making recommendations for improvement. This position offers diversity in clients and projects, an opportunity to work in a team environment, and professional growth due to potential within the Economic Unit.
Position Responsibilities
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of client business issues and priorities, effectively analyze and diagnose problems, and provide clear advice and recommendations to help client make sound business decisions.
• Quickly establish credibility and trust by delivering on commitments and meeting client recommendations.
• Influence senior leaders using a balance of HR expertise, business acumen, objectivity, and relationship skills.
• Advise and influence business partners in compensation strategy, programs and issues.
• Plan, organize, monitor and control projects using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring efficient and effective utilization of resources; accomplish the objectives of projects according to specification, on time and within budget.
• Develop compensation strategies, market pricing, client communications.
• Implement progressive compensation management tools and processes.
• Compile/summarize/analyze data (including survey results, market data, etc.) to help make fact-based decisions.
• Ensure compensation design and processes are integrated with delivery of other HR processes and programs.
• Continuously improve compensation processes. Drive project-oriented compensation changes as needed.
• Research, analyze and prepare advanced statistical queries, reports, and documents for complex market studies, trend analyses, and the development and implementation of compensation or incentive programs.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource, Business, or related field
• Minimum of five years of compensation experience or HR Generalist with strong compensation focus
• Comprehensive knowledge of compensation techniques, practices and regulations
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to review and to synthesize large quantities of data is a must
• Function independently to serve as a resource and staff consultant on a range of issues relating to a range of base pay and incentive programs
• Ability to develop and manage relationships across the firm and a wide variety of partners based on trust, teamwork and knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• CCP Certification a plus
