Content Development Coordinator
The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), a global leader in the certification, continuing education, solutions and tools for the health, fitness, sports performance and sports medicine professional, has an immediate opening for a Content Development Coordinator in their Mesa, Arizona campus office.
Summary:
As a Content Development Coordinator you will manage and develop overall education content, from courses to publication items. You will be responsible for researching course and article topics, development of course and publication assets from inception to release. You will be responsible for quality assurance as a reviewer of courses and articles developed both internally and externally. You may also be called upon to deliver phone or email interviews for outside publications. Possession of excellent organizational, researching, writing and creativity skills is a must. In addition, communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities as well as the capacity to work with cross-functional teams to accomplish overall project goals are highly important. Lastly, an expert-level understanding of the OPT model is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develop new online courses and all course assets to include, but not limited to:
o Course outlines
o Scripted Power Points
o Written text
o CEU quizzes/exam
· Updating content of existing courses
o Text
o References
o Images
o Video
o Scripted Power Points
o Quizzes/Exams
· Development of workshop presentations
o Scripted Power Points
o Handouts
· Writing/developing other content for FitnessCoachPro platform & NASMPRO to include, but not limited to:
o Articles
o Research reviews/summaries
o Podcasts
o Exercise programs
· Review and provide comments for both internal and external educational assets (courses, publications, etc.) for quality assurance
· Attend industry tradeshows/events to keep up with industry trends
· Internal staff training
· Work with Project Manager in setting and managing project timelines and milestones
· Work with Production team to ensure asset requirements for efficient production
· Work with IT in coordinating course set up in the LMS
· Work with BOC in submitting courses for NASM CEU approval
· Teach CPT curriculum to NASM staff
Qualifications and Competencies:
· Education
o Master’s degree in related field
o NASM CPT, PES and CES credentialed
o Other outside certifications (ACE, ACSM, NSCA) a benefit, but not required
o Minimum of one year hands-on “in the trenches” industry experience (ex. Personal Training)
o Expert-level understanding of the OPT model
