JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for inside office coordination and customer service, and limited outside sales restricted to one or more major accounts serviced primarily by one station.  Responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction,  service quality, and net revenue growth of the assigned account.

 

 PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for retention of business from assigned account(s) and growth of net revenue for the account(s). Create and maintain SOP(s) to ensure adherence to Customer’s needs within the capabilities of Employer. Provide direction to operations in the assigned station for handling assigned account(s). Coordinate customer service efforts from all station departments involved with the assigned account(s), working with the Operations Managers and Supervisors, to ensure a consistent and high level of customer service is maintained. Will be Employers primary contact for all communications with the assigned account(s). Customer-focused and needs to possess and seek a high level of understanding of employers global office network and services, including regulatory and internal policies and procedures. Prepare management reports and actively participate in the development of KPI’s; review these regularly with assigned account(s) to show adherence to SOP requirements by Employer and contracted carriers/transportation providers. Continually develops and maintains positive relationship with individuals within the assigned account(s). Addressing billing issues with contracted carriers/transportation providers. Data mining to validate service expectations are being met by carriers/transportation providers. Management of carrier equipment at assigned account(s)’ facilities to eliminate/minimize detention charges. Other duties as assigned.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Two years higher level education, plus a minimum of 3 years operational and/or sales experience in forwarding and/or logistics activities.

 

SPECIAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

Work requires positive, competitive, confident personality with strongly developed persuasive skills and a customer-focused orientation. 

 

Candidate must NOTE:  Spanish  Language  Fluency  Required

  Have proven negotiation skills. Demonstrate effective collaboration skills to work well in a cooperative team environment. Be adaptable to changing needs of client(s) and goals of Company Have strong problem solving ability and be able to think and respond quickly to sales and service issues Be willing to work onsite at assigned account(s)’ locations Effective planning and organizational skills to schedule appointments appropriately and to meet reporting deadlines.  Effective follow-up skills are required. The ability necessary to analyze moderately complex administrative details. The written communication skills to compose routine business letters and to edit and proof business correspondence and reports. The capability to produce error-free documents using the Company-standard software for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.  As applicable, work may require the ability to generate more elaborate reports, charts and graphs. A solid working knowledge of the Company’s products and services.

 

Work requires: Effective planning and organizational skills to schedule appointments appropriately and to meet reporting deadlines.  Effective follow-up skills are required. The ability necessary to analyze moderately complex administrative details. The written communication skills to compose routine business letters and to edit and proof business correspondence and reports. WORK CONDITIONS

General office environment.  Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.  The working environment is generally favorable.  Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.  Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.  Work requires regular travel to visit assigned account(s).  work requires entertainment of customers as appropriate within Company’s Travel & Entertainment guidelines.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English and Spanish.  Must have good vision.
