Cost Accountant Summary

Our client, a large company in the Rockville and DC area, currently seeks to hire a temporary-to-hire Cost Accountant that will be involved in the following:Processing T & MWeekly Sales Reporting to Stores & Executives, including entry in Excel spreadsheetsData entry of cash A/R in ExcelDaily update of cash received and update excel spreadsheetsCommunicate large variances with storesReconcile credit card deposits receivableBank reconciliationsGeneral ledger schedules for balance sheet accountsSales and use taxes for all jurisdictionsPersonal property tax for all jurisdictionsMaintain fixed asset schedulesProcess journal entries including but not limited to: sales, advertising & menu, accruals, bonuses, cost of goods, depreciation & amortization, inventory, prepaids, prepaid insurance, credit card commissions, payouts, standard entries, vesting and workers compUpdate inventory sheetsPayroll knowledgePrepare first draft of P&L for Controller review

 


Essential Cost Accountant Skills & Characteristics

Experience with P& L and BA degree preferred
