Crew Leader Janitorial & Building Maintenance

Summary of Responsibilities: To provide  leadership and training to assigned evening janitorial crew at a specific job site and ensure all contract cleaning specifications are fulfilled.

 

· Maintain service schedules to ensure contract-cleaning specifications are met. Make recommendations to the Operations Manager to increase account efficiency and profitability.

· Supervise nightly crew(s) and work alongside employees to ensure cleaning schedules are maintained on a nightly basis.

· Ensure compliance with all Federal and State employment laws and Company Policies and Procedures by personnel.

· Supervise and assign work schedules to crew members and special services/utility crews.

· Insure all equipment and vehicles (if applicable) are maintained for optimum performance and safety.

· Perform and document partial building inspections and complete detailed account inspections not less than once per month to insure the highest quality standards. Submit report to Operations Manager regularly.

· Monitor all labor hours, turnover, absenteeism, and any other factors that may have a negative impact on the job's profitability.

· Review final labor hours and payroll preview reports; submit to Operation Manager for approval.

· Develop and train subordinates, appraise performance and make recommendations to Operations Manager concerning transfers, discipline or separations.

· Ensure effective and continuous training for on site personnel including leads, service workers, day porters and special services/utility personnel.

· Assist with employee performance evaluations, new hire training, disciplinary and/or counseling protocol and termination procedures.



· Communicate with all clients, client representatives and subordinate employees in a professional, courteous manner at all times.

·  Assist with new account start-ups as needed.



Education/Skill Requirements:

High School diploma (preferred), or 5+ years work experience/training, or equivalent in service related industry.

3+ years Supervisory experience

2+ years Customer Service experience

Proficient with Microsoft Applications: WORD, EXCEL, and POWERPOINT

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proactive problem identification and resolution
Capable of administering multiple tasks efficiently.
High level of detail orientation
