DIRECTOR - FIELD SALES - USED TRUCK WARRANTY

Position Overview

Reporting to the President, the VP- Field Sales is a key member of the leadership team and will be responsible to implement and execute comprehensive sales growth strategies and be capable of maintaining and growing a dominant market position through field sales management and interaction and coordination with direct sales.Successful candidates will posses exceptional sales and sales leadership skills, combined with expertise gained selling to the automotive or truck dealership environment. Candidates must have a proven track record of managing best of class sales teams along with developing strong market relationships.Industry experience with proven expertise in sales and marketing to major Truck OEM’s and dealers is a strong plus. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of sales and management experience with 5 years leading, motivating and managing sales teams, both internal and external.

• Develop and execute a territory sales plan, and build and manage a sufficient pipeline to exceed assigned quota• Secure multi- level relationships at assigned prospects and customers.• Constantly communicate with sales on forecasts, account activities and territory strategies - make effective use of CRM tool.• Understand customer needs and effectively demonstrate how company’s products create an all around win-win for the industry.• Work in the field with District Sales Managers making service and sales calls. Significant travel required.• Exceed historical company performance.

 

Skills and Capabilities:

• Penetrating key accounts and growing business.• Hiring, training, motivating and managing salespeople in dispersed geographies.• Developing sales targets and goals, meeting and exceeding performance expectations  

Qualifications:• At least an 5 year track record of successful quota attainment in selling a service or product • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills• Open to extensive travel• Self-starter with the ability & energy to thrive in a, high-growth, fast-paced environment• Organized, results-oriented, meticulous, and customer-focused• Strong territory management and new account sales skills
