Overland Limousine Service, established in 1979 and one of Kansas City's largest and most reputable luxury transportation providers, has immediate openings for full time dispatchers at its Plaza-based office.  Select part time positions may also be available.

About the Position

Dispatchers are the heart & soul of our organization, assuring the safe, efficient, smooth operation of our fleet and chauffeur staff.  Dispatchers must be proactive self-starters, able to work well independently and make quick, critical decisions in a very fast-paced environment.  Will also involve taking customer calls, handling rate inquiries, selling new clients, taking reservations and assisting with ticket close-outs and other paperwork processing. 

 

Due to the 24/7 nature of our business, scheduling flexibility is a must and will include some nights, weekends, holidays, as well as overnight phone duty.  Experience is a plus but will train qualified candidates.

 

Experience & Skills Requirements

 Ability to stay focused, excel & stay calm under pressure and successfully juggle an ever changing schedule of 100 - 175 rides per dayPossess exceptional multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced settingSolid background in high-end customer service positionStrong working knowledge of the Greater Kansas City area and exceptional map reading & navigation skillsLimousine/Transportation industry experience is a plus or similar in the travel, tourism and hospitality fieldsExcellent computer skills with solid background in all Microsoft Office applications and other Windows-based programsMust be detail oriented and able to master system processesStrong communication skills both verbally and in writingAble to build chauffeur rapport and effectively deal with their various personalities, motivations and scheduling needsExceptional decision making & problem solving abilities as well as an understanding of the constant sense of urgencyMust be client-driven, willing to go "above & beyond" and strive for 100% perfection in job performance
