Data Analyst and Strategist

Rapidly growing claims administration firm is seeking a Data Analyst and Strategist for its Faribault location. Below please find information on the position, responsibilities and qualifications:

 

I.  Basic Function

The primary function of the Data Analyst/Strategist is to manage data strategy on business projects including data gathering, large dataset analysis to identify trends, reconciliation, claims processing, forms processing and customer support.

 

II. Major Duties and Responsibilities

 Lead the database set up of fields needed to manage the data provided.Work directly with brokers and clients to get the correct data and fields needed.Work with data received to determine how to roll up and consolidate different levels of information.Develop reporting solutions for client communication.Work with management in the development and implementation of procedures and processes.Collaborate with business management and IT departments on projects as needed.Perform high level data validation and high level quality assurance.Manage staff and productivity on several projects simultaneously.Set up, operate and test information and results in regards to complex calculations of damages, allocations and statistics and effectively communicate how different theories will affect the outcome of the calculations.All other duties as assigned.

III. Job Qualifications5 + years experience in managing intensive data client projects.Strong knowledge of database set up and how to effectively utilize.Knowledge of regulated securities a plus.Expert experience using Access, Excel and Visio.Experience with data analysis and manipulation, database design and management, project accounting and claim form design.Experience with relational database design including SQL queries.Previous work with funds fulfillment and disbursement or investment management focus.Superior communication skills.Great attention to detail.Banking and financial services information technology experiences a plus.
