Data Entry Clerk

JOB SUMMARY (the purpose and general nature of the job) Responsible for inputting lists of items, numbers, or other data into the computer; or complete forms that appear on a computer screen.  May also manipulate existing data, edit current information, or proofread new entries to a database for accuracy. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will: ·  Complete, process and key materials.·  Apply client requirements for accurate processing of client materials.·  Identify various document types quickly and efficiently.·  Must accomplish client deadlines in a team environment.·  Enter data accurately from online terminal or paper.·  File completed documents.·  Delete incorrect data.·  Re-enter data in verification format to detect errors.·  Maintain record of completed work.·  Select materials needed to complete work assignment.·  Compile, sort, and verify accuracy of data to be entered.·  Maintain confidentiality and security of client information per guidelines.·  Other duties performed as necessary. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:Minimal requirements for education, knowledge and experience:·  High School Diploma or GED.·  Production experience preferred.·  Type a minimum of 9,000 ksph at 98% accuracy or better.·  Good communication skills.·  Good Microsoft Office skills.·  Detail oriented.·  Good time management skills. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment: ·  May be required to work early or late hours, evenings, weekends, on call, and/or overtime.· May be required to spend long periods of time sitting. Individuals may apply online or in person
