POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS:

Maintain, enhance & develop critical SQL Server & Oracle databases

Develop & execute an overall database architecture strategy, along with necessary data standards & practices (includes SQL Server 2005 migration, implementation of HA architecture & creating common data interface layers)

Work closely with strategic project teams to develop data models that support business processes

Work with application development teams to ensure that database changes adhere to best practices & are properly prioritized / scheduled

5+ years experience working in an IT department as a multi-platform database professional (administrator, designer, developer, architect)

Must have experience with SQL Server 2000 / 2005 on Windows - experience with Oracle on Windows / Linus a plus

Heavy "hands-on" programming experience with stored procedures, Transact SQL and / or PL / SQL

Experience implementing fundamentally sound data warehouses using proper data modeling & normalization principles

Experience with data replication (SQL Server / Data Mirror) & ETL tools (DTS / SSIS, Informatica, DataStage) a plus

Knowledge of Oracle Applications database & interfaces a plus

Bachelor's degree preferred
