Database Marketing Analyst

Description/Summary

 

Responsible for all data management associated with direct mail and telemarketing campaigns. Provides recommendations amending current reporting practices and programs when necessary.  Manages external vendor communication and negotiation except pricing negotiations.  Works with internal departments and outside vendors in the setup of new client and program launches.  Reviews all data queries for quality.

 Essential Functions

 

· Produces standardized reporting including, cancellation analysis and pre-paid marketing reporting.

· Under the direction of supervisor, works with internal departments and external vendors in the setup of new clients and program launches including layout development and implementation.

· Generates customer files for conversion and renewal mailings.

· Generates daily, weekly and monthly reporting and response downloads.

· Compiles and analyzes weekly and monthly reports of the OEM and bank channels.

· Coordinates programs with production and purchasing.

· Create and modify Brio queries in order to generate and modify solicitation files.

· Coordinates process set-up for monthly retail and OEM campaigns, including managing the communication with list processors on the posting of leads.

· Assists in the launch of direct marketing, telemarketing, and e-commerce campaigns.

· Writes directions for direct marketing campaigns to external vendors.

 

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

 

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in marketing and information technology or equivalent experience.

 

EXPERIENCE: 1 - 3 years database analysis experience.  Marketing experience a plus.

 

SKILLS: Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.  Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and consistently follow through.  Strong knowledge of analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, text editing and database software.
