Designer / Project Manager - Furniture - Alameda

RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for supporting outside Program Account Manager- Furniture. Primary role is to design, specify and manage contract office furniture projects within an assigned geographic territory. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Coordinate internal/external resources to specify and price furniture and labor required, while working with sales staff to negotiate with manufacturers for lowest cost.2.Prepares presentation packages including drawings, quotations, company profile information cut sheets and finish selections.3.Inventory existing furniture, determine condition and appropriate uses, and determine new product needed and equipment and manpower required for scope of job.4.Develop project time line for installation with information provided from Project Coordinator and update sales and client on project progress.5.Perform final walk through of installation and follow through to completion of any punch list items in concert with installer and client.QUALIFICATIONS:1-3 years related work experienceBachelor's or Associate or Technical DegreeEssential Skills Required: 1. Full working knowledge of Giza Enhanced/ Professional/Specifier software. AutoCAD is a plus.2. Full working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite as well a high level of computer software and hardware knowledge.3. Exceptional Organizational skills. The ability to work as a project leader.Experience in working with furniture brands including systems furniture.Ability to work with contractors and a general working knowledge of data, and electrical issues.
