Desktop Packaging Specialist (Secaucus) - 00IM2

Responsible for development of automated deployment solutions for the desktop infrastructure as it applies to software and systems critical to business units. The selected candidate must have extensive experience automating software installations using Wise Package Studio (using custom actions, transforms, patches and merge modules, conflict resolution, group policy, package return codes) to be distributed via SMS. Scope of responsibility includes Windows desktop operating systems, applications, lifecycle management, quality assurance and other elements as required. Responsibilities (under limited supervision):Participate in the support of the tool set/application process. Participate in the review of business requirements and support the implementation of appropriate technology solutions. Work in project groups consisting of various team members. Evaluate moderately complex technology infrastructure issues and provide evaluations to senior staff members and/or management. Assist in recommending and providing tactical technology solutions to ensure project success. Participate in system monitoring, performance monitoring and tuning, patch analysis, and file system maintenance activities. Provide input for the development of service progress, trend, issue, and project-related departmental reports. Responsible for upgrading of procedures and HW/SW for technology area to maintain currency with technological progress, economic change, and business needs Responsible for testing, piloting, documentation, monitoring and implementation planning for new services and environments that fall within their supported technologies. Maintain currency in the chosen technical field and maintain awareness of the firm's architecture and strategy. Resolves incidents and participates in the trending of those incidents to identify problems.
