Desktop Support Specialist

We are seeking a talented and capable Desktop Support Technician to join our growing IT team. If you are our chosen candidate you will report to IVM’s Director of Information Systems. 

Among your many important and urgent duties will be:Assist end users with application usage questions, and give them pointers on how to more effectively leverage the Microsoft Office suite in performance of their duties.Identify, research and resolve technical issues with software, hardware. Prioritize multiple urgent requests based on urgency and business impact.Respond to telephone calls, email and face-to-face requests.Install, configure and deploy workstation hardware and software.Document, track and monitor problems.Create and maintain documentation of end-user systems and help articles.Create and present training sessions related to business applications and concepts.Keep IT manager appraised of project status and issues impacting their success. Other duties as directed.

 General Work and Equipment Description:

 

· Typically 8AM to 5PM Monday through Friday

· 24x7 availability for business emergencies

· Majority of time at desk or local office environment

· Occasional lifting of objects up to 20 lbs

· Windows desktop operating systems

· Desktop and Laptop Hardware

· Productivity software including Microsoft Office, CRM, Accounting and others.

· Remote Access software and systems

· Office equipment including laser printers, multi-function copiers Office Voice and Data cabling and PBX phone systems
