Our company has been retained to identify a senior IT management professional responsible for an application development platform, including Oracle and Java technologies.  Our client is a fast growing and large company offering a great professional work environment as well as the opportunity for advancement.

 

In this role you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for all development efforts as they pertain to the Java and Oracle teams.  You will have as many as 30 subordinates, including several Project Managers responsible for specific project completion. Duties will include:

 Work with internal stakeholders and business leaders to determine and validate application development requirementsInterface with IT management to ensure process and methodology is followedAssign project tasks/deliverables to a team of PM’s, and monitor performance against planMake decisions on the future and direction of systems and application development effortsHelp to set internal and external strategy through implementation of best practices and new techniquesWork closely with other IT teams to ensure that the proper resources are being utilizedInteract with development team members to keep them motivated and up to date on strategyManage internal and external consultants/vendors as needed.



The ideal candidate will have the following skills and credentials:

 Fortune 1000 experience within the past 2 years is MANDATORYExperience working within an Oracle Applications environment is MANDATORYStrong knowledge of development processes using Java and Oracle technologies is MANDATORYBachelor’s Degree in MIS, Masters/MBA preferred10+ years working within the application development spaceMust be a great leader and able to keep a staff motivated and happy
