Our client, an innovative provider of outsourced HR services seeks an experienced Information Technology Director for their midtown Manhattan headquarters.
The person selected for this position will take responsibility for overall planning, organizing and execution of all IT Functions. While ensuring that the technology requirements of each of the client departments are met, your department will support business units in Finance, Data Processing, Desktop Services, Networking and Management Information Systems.
If selected for the position, you will direct a staff of 30 in the areas of Mainframe Systems Maintenance, Network Maintenance, Project Management, Business Analysis, Design, Programming, Telecom/Call Center support and development, Help Desk and Website Development and maintenance.
This department works closely with all areas of the company. To succeed, the person selected will have to bring a thorough understanding of business management, strong leadership skills, an excellent IT background and a willingness to work hard to make the necessary changes and meet the needs of the business owners. To win this position, you will have to demonstrate that you are as adept at business management, planning, strategy and working with the executive team on large scale initiatives as you are on the technology side.
The candidate we are looking for will have a Bachelor’s Degree and 8 or more years experience in a senior-level information technology position. Experience in the following areas is essential:IT infrastructure & operations, including software development, system / network administration, and helpdesk functions Strategic planning for future growth & additional services, while controlling costs Managing IT assets to ensure effective, efficient use of resources Establishing, planning, prioritizing and administering the overall technology policies and goals for the IT department
Mostly, however, you will bring a demonstrated history of managing people and systems with ongoing training and cross-functionality, delivering support and solutions to your business organizations.
