ENERGY MANAGEMENT PROJECT MANAGER / ANALYST
JOB DESCRIPTION/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:This position reports to the Lead Project Manager of Energy Management. Responsibilities for the Energy Management Project Manager / Analyst position are as follows:-In concert with Lead Project Manager and the Director, develops project implementation plans for gas and electric energy efficiency programs in all four jurisdictions (NY, MA, RI, and NH).-Identifies key issues / needs, assigns tasks / roles, deadlines and milestones for each project.-Responsible to manage projects on day-to-day basis and assist the program managers to stay on track to achieve plan's deadlines and milestones / goals. -Develops interpersonal relationships with Program Managers.-Leads and/or participates in cross functional enterprise-wide teams to implement portions of the plan or support overall corporate customer and climate change strategies.-Works closely with the Legal, Rates and Regulation, Evaluation and Regulatory Affairs areas to ensure regulatory approvals and compliance with regulatory requirements. Undertakes analysis and prepares reports documenting compliance. -Works closely with Marketing, Sales and other customer-facing departments to align energy efficiency goals with other major corporate objectives.-Works closely with Government Affairs and Public Affairs to communicate the value of energy efficiency programs to key government officials and other stakeholders.-Undertakes studies and analyses needed to support the implementation of programs and prepare and present executive reports for internal communication.-Coordinates and assembles monthly Customer Markets Performance Review reporting and analysis for the Energy Efficiency Group.-Assists in the development of Requests for Proposals and evaluates / selects vendors and consultants to work with Energy Management?s leadership on special projects related to continuous improvement of the energy management organization. -Manages the vendor contract and relationship. -Works closely with energy management's managers to further develop systems, reporting protocols, management reporting mechanisms and improve processes where needed.-Familiarizes self with Energy Management Programs, Project Management, and regulatory filings. -Represents the company at promotional events throughout the entire service territory, which will occasionally include nights and weekends.The position requires a working knowledge of corporate software / Microsoft office applications; energy efficient natural gas and electric technologies; and understanding of the product development process and marketing. Experience in the area of statistics & analysis, economics, or finance is desired. The position also requires strong written and verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. Masters degree preferred. A minimum of one to three years' professional experience such as marketing, sales, corporate and organizational planning or a technical discipline is required. Experience writing reports, perfomaning analysis, and managing processes is preffered. Project Management experience is required.
