The Editor position reports into our Shared Assessment Services (SAS) workgroup located at our corporate headquarters in Minneapolis, MN. The SAS group is a centralized workgroup of talent that supports our Global Operating Offices in assessment report editing and production.

Job ResponsibilitiesProofread and edit assessment reports, sometimes typing parts of reports, accurately and on time with the ability to enhance a report without changing the content Work with consultants to clarify or address writing issues Manage the production and editing calendars to ensure the work is distributed evenly throughout the week Work closely with other report writers, project coordinators, consultants, and other editors to ensure reports are arriving on time, in order to get them turned around and sent to client by deadline Collaborating with other editors on the team to assist with even workload distribution Ensure quality and consistency by holding sessions to discuss current “PDI style” issues, writing issues, common errors, newest trends etc Other projects, as assigned

Experience and Education RequirementsA four-year degree, preferably in English, Journalism, or writing field. Some understanding of psychology or closely related field is helpful Two years of editing or writing experience preferred

CompetenciesAbility to proofread and edit text Strong computer skills, especially MS Word Strong organizational skills Ability to structure own work, stay on task, and work on own for long periods of time with repetitious work Strong customer service focus Strong problem solving and conflict management skills Ability to multi-task Professional and friendly personal presence Flexibility and team-player attitude
