Employee Communications Consultant (HR/Benefits?Organizational Effectiveness)
The Segal Company is a leading employee benefits, human resources, and compensation consulting firm with an opening for an Employee Communications Consultant. This position can be based in either our Los Angeles or San Francisco Office.
The Opportunity:
This is a newly added position representing growth of the Communications Practice over all and, specifically, in the West. The incumbent will be stepping into a lead consulting role with clients and have opportunity to gain diverse client exposure across all Segal marketplaces (i.e., Multiemployer, Public Sector and Corporate) and, to be a true implementer of "organizational change" by working on equally diverse projects involving the development of strategies, messaging, tools and vehicles to communicate change across a broad spectrum of employee benefits, human resources and organization effectiveness/human capital areas.
The Role:
The Consultant collaborates with the National Practice Leader, practice colleagues and other Segal/Sibson consultant staff to service the communications needs of external clients in the West Region. The incumbent performs as the lead communications consultant and, possibly, as the account manager on select clients and, in a secondary/support capacity on other select clients. The Consultant assumes project management accountability that may involve supervision of project staff and, be integrally involved in developing content for client projects involving a full range of media including newsletters, summary plan descriptions, brochures, Web sites, presentations, speeches and articles for print, electronic and person-to-person delivery. The Consultant conducts peer review for quality purposes, coaches and mentors others and, actively participates in business development and marketing efforts to grow practice revenue and profitability.
The Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an undergraduate degree and 5 years of relevant employee benefits/human resources communications experience in a professional service firm environment, exceptional oral and writing skills, project management/team leadership experience or ability, strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with ability to interact effectively and influentially with a diverse audience of clients and colleagues. Demonstrated experience in developing communications for employee benefits, human resources and organization effectiveness purposes is mandatory.
