Evening Regional Truckload Dispatcher

Dependable Highway Express (DHE), a large transportation company, is searching for an Evening Experienced Regional Truckload Division Dispatcher at our Los Angeles Corporate Headquarters, which is our largest terminal.  DHE is a stable and rapidly expanding logistics company with long roots in Los Angeles transportation.  This job involves dispatching and managing over 150 drivers and requires a quick-thinker who is familiar with the trucking industry. We are looking for a positive attitude and a team player.

 

The RTD Dispatcher is responsible for outbound loads form the Southern California areas. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 Supervise daily operations for RTD in the assigned area Coordinate and follow through on driver's daily schedules including routes and appointment deliveries.  Ensure drivers complete daily pick-ups and deliveries in a timely mannerMonitor and answer dispatch radio(s), Initiate driver trips and data inputEquipment control data inputCommunicate with various divisions, department, and facilities load informationMaximize driver and equipment utilization

 Job Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:Capable of making decisions under pressure and at a moment's noticeManage and control daily costs Good computer knowledge/skillsStrong communication skills (bilingual a plus)Good with customer/driver relationsStrong team leaderMust be available to work an evening shift (8:00p.m- 4:00a.m.)2 years+ of experience of dispatch experience in LTL transportation and 1 year experience in management
