Executive Sales Manager
Market Force Information is an industry leader in customer experience information research services, providing store-level, customer experience information for retailers, restaurants, consumer packaged goods companies and the financial and hospitality communities. Services include mystery shopping, merchandising audits, competitive retail price collections, customer satisfaction surveys (on-line and phone-based) as well as analytic packages to enhance the overall value of the data collected.
Market Force Information is seeking a seasoned sales professional for our regional office in Norcross, Georgia (outside of Atlanta). The Executive Sales Manager will have responsibility for developing relationships and closing business with operations and marketing decision makers at prospective client companies. Overnight travel will be required for sales presentations and visits to prospective clients. This position reports to the Sales Director. It requires strategic selling skills, a blend of lead generation, prospecting, business acumen and creativity. Also required are strong time management skills and the ability to interface effectively at multiple levels of a client marketing and operations organization, up to and including “C-level” executives. This is an individual contributor role, not a sales management position. MFI also has openings in our office in The Woodlands (north of Houston) and in our corporate headquarters in Boulder, CO.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Cold call, prospect and lead generation activity to develop a solid pipeline of sales opportunities in retail, restaurant, financial, and CPG businesses. Identify and establish contact with decision makers at select Fortune 1000 companies. Present and sell customer experience measurement services and other consumer insight research services each year to drive top line revenue growth. Clearly articulate our compelling value proposition in a client-focused context. Determine client needs and gauge interest in mystery shopping and market research services. Must be team oriented. Work with team members in Marketing to develop a winning sales strategy for potential clients. Work with other internal colleagues (operations, client services, finance et al.) to design profitable programs. Effectively present our company’s capabilities in formalized presentations both on the phone and in person. Develops an understanding of competitive offerings and pricing in the marketplace. Develop integrated information services proposals as we acquire new product providers. Continually adapt to new product offerings and go to market strategies.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. . 5+ years direct sales experience and a proven track record of selling consultative, complex services to large corporations. Must have 3+ years selling research/information services products or experience selling to our verticals: Retail, Restaurant, CPG, Banking, Hospitality, etc. Excellent PC skills using spreadsheet, presentation, word processing and sales contact software. Exceptional written and oral communication skills and attention to detail. Professional presentation experience. Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
