FREIGHT FORWARDING POSITION/IMPORT OPERATION

Operation Position -  International Freight Forwarding Company


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

- Compile and verify information necessary for import shipments.

- Process import documents and manifest information in logistics system.

- Update system as needed to reflect correct information.

- Prepare manifest data and transmit to customers and/or customs brokers.

- Establish and maintain accurate import files and ledgers.

- Daily follow up on all inbound ocean freight shipments to arrival and receipt at customers’ final destinations.

- Monitor receipt of goods at warehouse to insure all containers/units are received promptly and completely
