The BearingPoint Public Services Team is currently searching for a Federal Systems Consultant. Location/s: Downtown Washington, DCRelocation: no Performance Profile/Position Description: The Federal Systems Consultant will be responsible for working as a part of a BearingPoint team with a Federal Government client. The primary task involves project management and oversight activities related to the implementation of a travel booking and management system and the interface from the travel system to the financial accounting system. The Federal Systems Consultant will evaluate travel systems implementation documents, schedules, and/or designs and either validate the information or guide the client in recommending a strategy that will better serve the client organizations interests. He/she may analyze a number of options related to systems implementation decisions and recommend / justify the best alternative for the client organization. The Federal Systems Consultant will be responsible for leading tasks within the project, analyzing systems implementation documents, creating written deliverables, and facilitating meetings, among other duties. Successful candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical capabilities, and be able to work efficiently and under deadline on a high-profile project. Position-specific Required SkillsA minimum of 4 years experience with one or more of the following: travel accounting, travel systems, systems implementation or design, and federal financial accounting. A minimum of one year of experience with one or more of the following: Oracle Databases, ERP systems, Systems Development Life CycleMinimum of two years of experience preparing client deliverablesA minimum of two years of previous work experience in analytical role with problem solving, applying frameworks and communicating implicationsMinimum of two years of experience working in teams and in a team environment that is process-oriented and deadline-driven.Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Management, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or related field required.US Citizenship required and must be able to secure a clearance within the Department of Homeland SecurityPosition-specific Desired Skills:Candidate should have experience with project management methodology, travel management systems, COTS / GOTS systems implementations or custom development, to include requirements documentation, process definition, testing, training, deployment. Candidate should have knowledge of Federal financial management and systems interfaces. Knowledge of FedTravler software is preferred.
