We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior to join our Tax Advisory practice, on a diversified career path. This position offers you a wide variety of tax consulting and compliance work experiences. ResponsibilitiesResearch complex tax theory and positions, and apply them to specific client needs. Exercise a high degree of independent judgment and discretion in providing tax services. Identify opportunities for EY to provide services to existing clients. Learn and begin to focus on engagement economics and the factors which influence profitability and efficiency. Draft the initial budget, engagement letter and invoice. Notify the Tax Manager of out-of-scope work or discrepancies to the budget. Understand the impact that staffing levels and billing and collection have on engagement profitability. Manage less complex engagements from start to finish. Perform research on more complex tax matters; draft facts and questions for submission to the firm's Online Tax Advisor. Begin to develop a book of business of assigned clients to encourage engagement ownership. Share knowledge with the product/service line by helping to develop educational materials and teach, as requested. Monitor, train and mentor Staff and accept a Counselor role for Interns and Staff, as required. To qualify, candidates must have: an undergraduate degree (in a related field preferred) 3-5 years of tax related or other relevant experience professional certification or evidence of progress towards appropriate professional certification (e.g., CPA, EA, JD) advanced knowledge of current and emerging tax issues, with the ability to apply knowledge advanced knowledge of tax laws advanced knowledge of tax software a commitment to learning and improvement excellent verbal and written communication skillsNH-Manchester
