DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Greet customers and answer phones Receipt in check, stocks, and transfers Open mail and process/distribute paperwork effectively Process new account paperwork Send out necessary paperwork needed to be completed by client Assist brokers as necessary Hand out packets to walk-in customer Provide stock quotes to customers Assist with training interns Match incoming stocks and checks with accounts Navigate through the activity, position, security master, and balance screens of the CRI system to obtain customer information Follow up on new accounts Process required document reports Create and file new accounts and all pertinent paperwork for accounts Handle all returned mail, verify/update new customer address and phone numbers Assist customer with the paperwork for different account types Calculate and reiterate commissions to customers Follow-up on any problems arising from paperwork for a customer Contact banks on credit checks for approval Assist all customers and branch brokers with IRA's/set-up, distribution, nuances of each type. Required Skills1 to 2 years general office experience preferred. Previous experience in the brokerage industry helpful Data entry/typing skills (minimum of 30wpm) 1 to 2 years customer service experience required Great organizational, written and verbal communication skills Math skills; ability to calculate commissions Moderate level of computer/Internet skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and like a fast paced environment Interest in the stock market helpful Foster company success through a professional appearance, being courteous to customers & all Scottrade associates, and by having a positive attitudeEDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required Associates degree or equivalent experience preferredScottrade, Inc., an equal opportunity employer, is committed to inclusion and a diverse workforce.
