JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

POSITION TITLE: Flash Developer



 

BASIC PURPOSE:

 

Build interactive Flash games, videos, emails, applications and more. These tools will be used to instruct, teach, entertain and engage our Fortune 500 client participants.

 

This position will involve extensive work with designers, writers, analysts, business managers, online production professionals and more as you plan, develop and deliver projects from concept through production.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

· Conceptualizing and developing Flash-based projects; including helping with ideation, determining appropriate technology usage, creating frameworks, helping to set standards, and programming projects

· Managing technical tasks and timelines for front-end development (as needed)

· Programming Web pages and templates

· Programming e-mail templates and creating e-mails

· Providing budget information (estimated hours to complete projects) regarding front-end development

· Implementing creative test plans and design optimizations

· Sustaining the overall Flash platform, and maximizing the use of multimedia for each project

· Ensuring good, effective communication between the front-end team and other team members from different disciplines

 

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

 

· B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

 

· Must have 5 + years experience creating complex Flash projects

· Must have expert level in ActionScript 2.0 or above

· Must have experience building ActionScript to create dynamic content by pulling test from XML files and doing real time poll results, etc.

· Mastery of building dynamic content: loading and parsing XML, sounds and images

· Must have solid experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript¶Understanding of Flash video, progressive streaming will be helpful

· Experience integrating with .NET backends

· Expert knowledge of Object Oriented Programming

· Experience working with Scrum, Agile, Pair Programming, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration

· Understanding of and experience with XML/Web Services

· Experience with Media Server a plus
