Learn more about the practice by visiting http://www.ey.com/us/ids . We are currently seeking a highly motivated candidate for an excellent career opportunity as a Senior Associate. ResponsibilitiesWork on multiple client engagements with the Independent Review Organization (IRO) Ernst & Young team, primarily involving hospitals/physicians operating under fraud investigations and Corporate Integrity Agreements as well as companies requiring due diligence analyses. Collaborate with team and clients in planning engagements. Conduct on-site and off-site analyses of medical records for accurate assignment of 1) ICD-9-CM diagnoses/procedure codes and DRGs; and 2) CPT codes (including Evaluation & Management); 3) inpatient hospital discharge disposition; 4) HCPCS codes for durable medical equipment analyses; and 5) CPT and HCPCS codes for hospital-based facility engagements. Conduct coding variance meetings with clients. Independently monitor daily tasks and field work to ensure timelines are met and reports are published by deadline. Assist in report writing. Inform manager of the engagement status and manage staff performance. Maintain workpapers in accordance with firm standards. Develop/maintain productive working relationships with client personnel. Develop people. Provide performance feedback/training, and conduct performance reviews. Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment. Commit to developing knowledge. Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery. Maintain an educational program to continually develop skills. Achieve growth. Understand E&Y's service lines and actively seek/encourage team members to identify opportunities for E&Y to provide quality service.To qualify, candidates must have: - A Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management - Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) - CCS preferably, CPC or CPC-H considered - Five + years inpatient coding experience - Excellent knowledge of ICD-9-CM coding principles - Working knowledge of PC-based tools, including databases (Access) and spreadsheets (Excel) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail - Strong organizational, teamwork and leadership skills The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time.
