Freight Claims Administrator

Prologistix is currently seeking a qualified skilled individual with claims administration experience. This position will be responsible for all process claims, return issues and approval/processing of all freight billing.

 

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited,

- Act as liaison between shipping carriers, to ensure accurate, timely and cost effective delivery, as well as resolve any issues.

- Work with carriers, US Customs and freight forwarders to process shipments effectively

- Provide routing instructions, as necessary, to customers and vendors

- Process all claims and billing verifications and resolve any issues

- Analyze and monitor vendor’s performance specific to damages / losses

- Developing and maintaining a carrier performance measurement system and creating metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of the transportation program.

- Produce, analyze and maintain shipping data to ensure compliance with department goals and targets

- Other duties include ensuring the prompt and accurate payment of transportation charges

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

 

- 3-5 years of transportation / logistics, or related fields

- A degree in transportation and logistics is preferred

- Furniture industry experience preferred

- Strategic and tactical planning skills

- Position requires strong organizational and time management skills

- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

- Good customer service skills

- Ability to work independently

- Ability to process complex information quickly

- Ability to be flexible and create innovative solutions

- Ability to balance multiple needs in approaching daily challenges

- Ability to recognize critical issues and respond quickly and effectively

- Knowledge and proficiency in computer operations utilizing Microsoft products
