Freight Payment Specialist

Freight Payment Specialist Description:  The selected candidate will be responsible for on-going freight payment platform resolution support, and continuously facilitate the development and modification of systems and processes to improve and streamline performance.  If you have experience related to freight payment, carrier rate maintenance, and conflict resolution, you may be a top candidate and should apply.  Responsibilities:  Support the freight payment process by investigating freight payment process errors or inefficiencies. Organize and investigate root cause of SAP data integrity issues affecting freight payment.  Resolve and communicate preventative actions as required. Work with 3rd party freight payment service provider to mutually address process or system inefficiencies by developing and implementing corrective actions. Act as a freight payment conflict resolution specialist to address discrepancies between stakeholders Maintain active dialogue with Freight Procurement to ensure carrier or freight rate freight payment related issues are addressed Regularly monitor and resolve freight bills assigned to the corporate logistics freight payment resolution queue Investigate and reconcile Accounts Payable Action Requests. Stay abreast of current service and function organizational / process information, as it aligns with freight procurement, TMS and freight payment.  Problem solves and follows up as required. Coach internal and external customers in support of data integrity and related processes. Regularly attend meetings, participate, and obtain feedback concerning Transportation Systems upgrades, implementations, and acquisitions.  Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Logistics or Systems and/or equivalent experience. At least 4-6 years experience related to freight payment and carrier rate maintenance and conflict resolution.
