G/L Accountant

Our client provides bandwidth, voice and managed services to carrier, enterprise, SME and government customers. Our client is looking for smart, ambitious, collaborative and professional team members for our Louisville facility. Join our team as a G/L Accountant

The GL accounting positions will perform various tasks associated with processing transactions, reconciling accounts, developing and enforcing policies and preparing reports for the various business units. GL Accountants will generally focus in one of three areas (revenue, cost or project accounting). Key responsibilities include:

· Reports to the respective business unit controller or finance lead
· Processes accounting transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures
· Assists in the development and compliance with appropriate accounting policies and procedures
· Performs revenue assurance,credit processing, fixed asset capitalization, balance sheet reconciliations, monthly accruals, payroll entries, etc as specific to their area of focus
· Makes appropriate journal entries
· Prepares regular and ad hoc reports

Requirements:
· 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience
· Industry accounting experience desired
· Accounting degree preferred
