GIS Analyst

Job Description:  GIS Analyst

The GIS Analyst will know and be responsible for all standard functions and processes of the GIS Department.  GIS Analyst will perform project lead responsibilities for individual clients.  Project lead responsibilities include oversight of the following tasks:

 

·  Geocoding

·  Variable generation

·  Primary internet research

·  Deliverables / book production

·  Documentation of client specific requests & requirements

 

GIS Analysts will be familiar with and work on the following Buxton products:

·  Production of high quality maps

·  Site Score Packages

·  CommunityID Reports

·  TenantID Reports

·  Market Optimization Studies

·  U.S. Potential Studies

·  Model Q.C.

 

Other Responsibilities Include:

·  Advise GIS Technicians

·  Responsible for assisting with QC on daily workflow

·  Assist with training of new hires

 

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Geography, GIS, Urban Studies, or related academic focus.  Working knowledge of advanced GIS analysis & mapping systems (MapInfo, ESRI).  Basic understanding of database design and development.  Familiar with retail site location analysis concepts and techniques.
