Job Title: HVAC Service Tech

Job Summary: Performs General and HVAC preventive maintenance, troubleshoots and repairs commercial and industrial HVAC equipment by self performing or recommending work to be subcontracted.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: --
Receives verbal instructions from client or manager. Must be self motivated to complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.

Performs preventive maintenance work orders according to schedule, tasking plans, and manufacturers recommendations.
 
Performs HVAC diagnostic analysis utilizing current technology and manufacturers recommendations.


Completes service reports, including recommendations on the condition of the equipment. Must be well organized to keep accurate service and maintenance records.

Communicates effectively with client to determine service needs.

Eliminates callbacks through proper analysis and accurate repairs.
 
Contacts manager to request subcontractor support as required.

Completes commissioning of new equipment per the manufacturers recommendation.

Keeps service van stocked properly, and in an orderly fashion to be efficient and reduce windshield time.

Has the ability to use the internet, and or the manufacturers local representative to gather information on the equipment being serviced.

Flexible to work overtime, and be on the weekly on-call rotation.
 
Coordinates and supervises Viox support while on site.
 
Completes and submits paperwork accurately and on time.


Qualifications:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) plus three years related general maintenance experience with seven to ten years HVAC experience.  General knowledge and repair of electrical and plumbing required.
 
Must possess a valid driver's license, KY Journeyman’s License and EPA HVAC Certification.
 
Knowledge of Energy Management, Package Units, Pneumatic Controls and Water Treatment.

Basic English-Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

Basic-Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
