Privately held, Utah organization seeks qualified HR Director.
SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Director is responsible for the operational and strategic management of activities related to the performance of the human resources function. The Director manages activities including workforce planning and talent management, recruitment & selection of staff, orientation of new employees, compensation & benefits administration, records maintenance, HR policies and procedures, training and development, internal investigations, organization-wide performance monitoring, dispute resolution, organizational development, HR strategic planning, and employee relations management. In the strategic role, the Director participates in formulating policies and procedures related to employees and in planning for the short-and long-term future. The Human Resources Director reports directly to the President.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Identify and articulate human resources issues, policies, procedures, and practices that impact the mission and climate of the organization.Provide oversight on the employment function recruiting, selection and placement programs.Identify training needs and develop training program to meet organizational current and future needs.Direct and administer compensation programs that reinforce accomplishment of organizational objectives. Develops salary range structures, incentive/recognition programs, and merit increase guidelines/budgets.Lead and provide oversight on performance management philosophy, programs, and tools.Identify and initiate organizational development interventions and change navigation.Develop a strategy and provide oversight for all employee benefit programs. This includes group insurance plans, retirement, and paid time off plans.Partner with staff and management to resolve employee relations issues as they arise. Maintain a human resource information system (HRIS) and other HR-related automated tools to facilitate management decisions and to automate administrative processes.Collaborate and participate to develop and improve human resource policies and practices used throughout the organization. Oversee corporate compliance programs, policies, and reporting.May perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SPECIALIZED TRAINING REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development or Business Administration or equivalent experience.6 - 10 years related experience in generalist human resource practice, preferably at the senior management level.Proven experience in management and staff supervision.Specialized certifications in the field are preferred, in addition to advanced education in HR development field.
