The Opportunity: At Great Clips, we believe that the success of our employees is the key to the success of our company. Our Human Resources Manager plays a critical role in fostering and developing our teams for success. Our Human Resources Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing human resources programs, materials and resources that reinforce our philosophies, values, and culture, and minimizes the company’s risk of legal action. This position is also responsible for managing franchisee human resources programs and providing consultation to franchisees and general managers as needed.

Technical Competencies: Ability to manage, develop, and administer programs across several areas of human resources, including compensation, benefits, recognition, and performance management, that reinforce the company’s philosophies, values and culture.
Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations and their effect on decisions and actions in the workplace, such as recruitment, selection, promotions, discipline and separation.
Written and verbal communication skills to initiate professional and effective contact with internal and external customers.
Ability to manage multiple projects and demands through to timely completion.
Ability to resolve conflict and ensure fairness and equity through the application of human resources policies and practices.
Knowledge of the budget planning and review process; ability to interpret budget reports and provide explanations for variances.
Desired Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources. 5 years management experience in Human Resources; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. Employee relations experience is required. Franchise or consulting experience and SPHR certification desired.
