Human Resources Representative
Headquartered in San Diego, California, Kratos Defense and Security Solutions Inc is pursuing its highly successful strategy to focus the business on federal government and security solutions, where we already have a significant presence. We are a leading provider of professional services in the areas of defense, technology and public safety and security solutions. Significant customers include various military branches of the US Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, NASA and state and local government agencies. Our areas of expertise include weapons systems support and maintenance, integrated logistics, test and evaluation, public safety and communications technology services. We wish to appoint a Human Resources Representative. Based at our headquarters offices in San Diego, California, the jobholder is responsible for general human resources support activities and provides assistance in the areas of employment, business reporting, compensation and benefits, HRIS employee data input and maintenance, employee record keeping and administration, and other projects as may be defined from time to time. The jobholder will also respond to employee inquires regarding general human resources issues, or refer questions to the appropriate HR Lead. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ø Responsible for all recruitment administration including initial candidate screening below Director level, and job postings, applicant tracking and organizing candidate interviews with hiring managers for all positions. Ø Compile and maintain monthly and quarterly HR business reports for headcount, turnover, time to hire, promotions, utilization and any other reports as may be required from time to time.Ø Input and maintain employee data on Costpoint HR and other HR information systems as required, and act as the departmental subject matter expert in the administration and operation of these systems.Ø Act as a source of information and liaison as required on department activities and projects. Ø Act as key contact with the general public regarding routine inquiries, for example, employment verifications. Ø Assists in compiling information and in preparing and/or typing draft reports and other documents. Ø Handles and maintains confidential materials, including financial and personnel records and files. Ø Handles all incoming mail and routes as appropriate. Ø Arranges maintenance of Human Resources Office and office equipment, orders office supplies; acts as liaison to other outside services needed by the department. Ø Other duties as may be defined from time to time. The preferred candidate will hold a Bachelors degree in Business Studies, Human Resources, Administration or the equivalent, together with 2 – 3 years of relevant experience. He/She will be pro active in following up on all assigned activities to ensure a timely and effective completion, and also be highly detail oriented. He/She must be highly proficient in Microsoft office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet. Experience using Costpoint HR would be an advantage.
