IT Help Desk Support

 

 

International leader in technology based services to the automotive, rubber, and plastics industries seeks Help Desk support to assist with operations in the Information Technology Department for our company headquartered in Northeast Ohio with multiple office locations. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

Under the direction of the IT Manager, this position will;

 

¨  Maintain, repair and troubleshoots desktop hardware and software packages across all office locations and all levels of the organization.  Also responsible for customer service and end-user training. 

¨  Monitors, troubleshoots, and upgrades the Microsoft Windows based applications and SQL database systems, including customer relations, accounting, and laboratory management systems and server backups. 

¨  Interacts directly with all business units and various departments to develop and maintain production systems and solutions including the ability to work with all types and levels of personnel. 

¨  Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks and monitors problems to ensure a timely resolution.  Establishes and maintains regular written and in-person communications with the IT Manager and end users.

 

Desired Training, Knowledge and Experience: 

 

Education: An Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or in a related field is required.
Certifications: Microsoft and/or hardware certification preferred. 

 

Experience working in the rubber, plastics, and automotive or related testing services industries is a plus. Knowledge and experience for this position should include several of the following areas:

 

¨  MS Windows XP, Vista, MS Office 2003 and 2007, MS Exchange, MS Share point, Windows 2003 Server & Active Directory (account maintenance, backups) are required.

¨  Microsoft .Net Programming and scripting skills, is a plus.

¨  Additional exposure to business application systems such as Customer Relationship Management, Accounting, Human Resources, Project Management, Content Management and Laboratory Management Systems, Windows 2003 Server and Active Directory is a plus.


Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.
