IT Systems Administrator

AZIMA is a small, rapidly growing software and services organization headquartered in Woburn, MA. Since our establishment in 2003, we have been providing web-based condition monitoring services that increase plant uptime, reduce maintenance costs, and improve safety for Fortune 100 and 500 industrial leaders.

You will have the opportunity to design and develop new technical infrastructure systems, working with UNIX/BSD/Linux and Windows, in partnership with peers and customers. Help manage a diverse systems network in our headquarters and field offices around the U.S. Azima recently won new business with several big players and we invite you to grow with us. Your primary responsibilities will include:Design and architect IT systems and develop implementation plans Define, monitor and troubleshoot system performance Perform capacity planning Establish, document, maintain, and monitor compliance to security policies Liaise with outside vendors where applicable Review/update maintenance agreements Resolving advanced technical issues escalated from Help Desk Diagnose and repair system and networking problems.

Education and Other Requirements:B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years experience in a networking or server support role Experience with *NIX administration (e.g., security and availability) Experience with backup software (Legato) Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python) VPN, Virtualization and Citrix experience a plus Experience working in a switched and routed environment Hardware, software and network connection troubleshooting experience Detail-oriented, multi-tasking and self-motivated fast learner Excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills on computer hardware, software and networks. Some management experience a plus
