ITEC - IT Effectiveness - Strategy & Portfolio Rationalization - Senior Manager Ernst & Young's Information Technology Enablement Center (ITEC) is a Center of Excellence that assists our national advisory practices in ' planning, pursuing, delivering and managing large, complex full lifecycle initiatives along with providing expertise in leading practices, methods, and resources in the space of Information Technology. The Information Technology Effectiveness (ITE) organization within ITEC focuses bridging the gap between business and IT, running IT like a business, improving Ernst & Young's Global Center methodologies, and enabling our national advisory practices with assessing, designing and transforming our clients in the following areas: IT Strategy & Portfolio Rationalization IT Enterprise Architecture IT Technical & Operations Management IT Application Management IT Management & Governance We have an opening for a Senior Manager specializing in IT Strategy & Portfolio Rationalization Responsibilities Thought leadership in shaping the IT Strategy & Portfolio Rationalization practice and methodologies Leading and providing guidance on all aspects of proposals, staffing, and managing IT Management & Governance programs / projects Evaluating and creating business value chains in multiple industries Working with and presenting to CXOs Evaluating and aligning IT functions with the business Identifying and prioritizing IT initiatives that meet the business strategy Leading and providing guidance in IT planning & implementation Rationalizing IT initiative portfolios with IT Strategies Performing IT assessments and building improvement plans / portfolios along with being able to convince, guide and advise CXOs on moving forward Aligning IT with business models across industry markets and leading IT process & organizational re-engineering programs or project streams Leading diverse project teams including client, consulting, third party and across global regions Defining / architecting IT services as it relates to business processes with an ability to relate IT services in business terms Strong ability to advise, coach and teach with respect to leading practices and improvements initiatives Build business cases and justify IT Strategy improvements Practice building activities improving internal solution sets, methods and resources Keeping on the leading edge of innovation and trends in IT management and operations, tools and techniques Integrate with other organizations within ITEC to provide seamless solutions with respect to, but not limited to: IT Effectiveness Program Advisory Services Application Advisory Services Data Performance & Analytics (Information Management Advisory) Services Privacy & Security Services Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery Services Position requires 100% travel To qualify, candidates must have: a bachelor's degree and approximately 8 years of related work experience; or a master's degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience 10 years or more of industry/advisory experience preferred Preferred Bachelors ' MIS, Engineering, Applied Science, Operations Management Desired Masters ' Business, Operations, or Science Desirable Certifications in ITIL v3, CMMI, COBiT, etc Required Attributes Analytical and conceptual thinker with innovative capacity Ability to handle complexity and ambiguity, and provide structure to complex problems Professional services background preferred Strong client interaction/communications skills Other Key CharacteristicsStrong understanding of business models, finances and operations and how technology can and does innovate the business providing them competitive advantages Collaboration, Team Work, excellent presentation and communication (written, oral) skills Integrity, maturity and dependability Willingness to travel Meeting facilitation skills Demonstrated industry thought leadership is a plus United States
