Industrial Hygienist/Consultant

Job Summary

A Senior Occupational Safety and Health Consultant is sought to provide senior consulting to a wide variety of clients, both Federal and private,  across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and academia.  This position offers excellent growth opportunity through existing Federal contracts and expanding private sector client needs.
This position will provide technical, management and business development support in the following areas:  industrial hygiene;occupational safety and health programs;lab safety; indoor air quality;regulated building materials;management systems;auditing; training;



This individual will be responsible for providing senior technical review of documents; staff development and mentoring; senior project management including budgeting, scheduling, proposal development and client coordination; regulatory agency coordination and negotiation; design review of new laboratory/manufacturing facilities; marketing and business development activities;  and staff occupational health and safety responsibilities.  Biosafety and/or radiation safety experience is a plus.

QualificationsU.S. Citizen or permanent work statusBS or MS degree in Industrial Hygiene, Public Health or related fieldExperience in consulting highly desiredCertification by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) as a Certified Hygienist (CIH) Certification or by the Board of Safety Professionals as a Certified Professional (CSP) is a plusStrong communication, staff management, and leadership abilities


Base Location

This position is based in Bedford, Massachusetts, but may also include specific project work opportunities on a short-term basis throughout the United States.
