Information Technology Support Assistant
Workplace Essentials is seeking a hard-working, motivated Information Technology Support Assistant.
Reporting directly to the Information Technology Manager.
Travel to facilities in Maryland and New York required.
Limited out of hours support required.
PURPOSE: To provide front-line technical support of desktop and laptop computers for all end users.
Directly assists the Information Technology Manager in daily functions and department needs.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of computer hardware, software, and Windows Operating Systems, MS Office, Outlook /Outlook Express, and MS Windows Server 2000/2003 networking. Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, positive attitude, friendly personality, and must be able to work independently with limited supervision. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and manage multiple priorities.
DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Support Sales information technology needs.
Manage end user support requests.
Provide front-line technical support for desktop and laptop computers.
Troubleshoot software problems and work with applicable technical support to resolve.
Coordinate hardware repair.
Goldmine Contact Management Software setup and support.
Receive and record trouble call ticket information.
Maintain IT inventory database.
Perform and maintain backups.
Install and configure desktop computers, laptop computers and printers.
Perform administrative duties.
