We have multiple openings for a rewarding and lucrative Inside Sales Account Executive position for extraordinarily talented and motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environments. We have openings across all three product areas. Your main responsibility will be lead qualification as you will serve as initial point of contact with prospective customers and provide product information to prospects interested in learning more about Cvent’s products and viewing a product demonstration. You will be required to demonstrate solution-selling skills and work closely with the direct sales team to ensure prospects turn into actual customers. The career path in this position is unlike almost any other sales position you may have seen in the market.

 

Sales Team: Our team of over 60 sales professionals is very diverse and most have not come from traditional software sales background. We tend to hire bright people who are very motivated to succeed. We have had a great track record of retention – 95%+ in each of the past two years, especially since our sales team tends to make the commissions they expect. We will teach you how to use Salesforce.com, WebEx (web-conferencing toolset) and other online tools. We think you will see that our processes and techniques are as advanced as many Fortune 500 companies.

This position also has opportunity to travel to Cvent’s international offices to provide training and mentoring to our global Sales team.

Career Path: The goal for most Inside Sales representatives is to be promoted to a Senior (Direct) Sales Account Executive. Generally it will take between 12 - 24 months to be promoted, once you demonstrate a high level of expertise in the responsibilities of the position as well as the leadership qualities that are necessary in a Senior-level role. Once in a Senior Sales Account Executive role, you will generally be leading a team of five (5) other professionals that include Account Executives, Product Consultants, Marketing Analysts and Sales Support representatives. Very few companies would offer an opportunity to lead such a large team so quickly. Position Duties:  Serve as the first in-depth point of contact to customersLead identification and qualificationProvide product information to prospective customersPartner with Direct Sales team to achieve new-booked business quotaMentor Telesales Associates, as neededRequired qualifications include:

· Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials

· Comfortable using online software sales automation products such as Salesforce.com

· Excel at developing relationships over the phone

· Track record of high call volume with corresponding high talk time

· Must be articulate, organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task

· Quick learner, with a positive attitude and ability to work well within a team

· Past software sales experience is a plus

Management Team:  We have eleven people in senior management.  We are very experienced in our particular areas as ten of the eleven members of senior management have been with the company since inception almost nine years ago.  We are all in the early prime of our careers and most of us have advanced degrees (Harvard Business School, Wharton, Georgetown Law, and Duke Law).  We believe in hiring people based on talent, not years of experience.  We are motivated and very hungry to grow our company.  We promote people on performance and we invest aggressively in our people.

 

Investors:  We raised $17 million in venture capital in 2000.  Our investors include institutional venture capitalists and angel investors such as the CEO of Nortel, CEO of Nextel, CEO of Bell Atlantic, CEO of AOL, and worldwide Chairman of McKinsey Consulting.  We have over 30 publicly traded CEO’s who have personally invested in the company; we view this as an endorsement of the product and team.

 

Customers:  Cvent has over 3,000 customers.  Nearly 70% of our revenue comes from corporate customers.  Approximately 30% of our revenue comes from associations, non-profits and universities.  Representative customers include KMPG, The World Bank, Rolls Royce, American Marketing Association, Walmart, ExxonMobil, Yahoo, Harvard University, United Way, BMW, and Siemens.

 

Products: Cvent is built on a Microsoft .net platform and is an On-Demand Application Service Provider (ASP). We have invested $25 million in building our products and have run hundreds of thousands of events, millions of event registrations, and hundreds of millions of email invitations. Cvent offers a next generation product suite of Event Management (online registration, eMarketing, reporting, travel capabilities, and supplier sourcing), Web Surveys, and Email Marketing.
