International Logistics Specialist

Allyn International Services, Inc. (AISI) provides global logistics, import and export compliance, and corporate tax services. AISI is currently seeking an International Logistics Specialist to provide on-site support for a Fortune 500 power equipment manufacturer in Schenectady, New York. The International Logistics Specialist is responsible for critical interface with AISI’s customer, providing strategic logistics planning for power generation projects worldwide.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Plans and directs flow of goods for import/export in domestic and international markets • Prepare & Execute shipping documentation for the transportation of goods in both domestic and international markets • Maintain logistics long range planning tool and material management application. • Act as a liaison with Customs and brokers to facilitate customs clearance, in compliance with government and company regulations • Work with and build relationships with client program managers and commercial administrators to provide support for global logistics projects.



QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree with a major in international trade, logistics, operations management, or related field required. • A minimum of five years of import/export or international logistics experience preferred. • Knowledge of international trade terms and documentation required. • Experience using, and proficiency with, Microsoft Office and spreadsheet applications required.
