Inventory Planning Analyst

Responsibilities:Daily responsibilities to achieve in stock %, inventory turns & order fill rate goals include:Monitor vendor minimums, lead times and other buying requirements.Monitor time and accuracy of orders.Communicate with other departments and take initiative when situation warrants.Maintain relationships with vendors, including providing forecast reports, promotional data, etc.Utilize reports from Access and Excel to be proactive in order to obtain goals. Perform other duties as required, including projects for overall improvement.Work with accounts payable to resolve all invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.Qualifications:Minimum 2 years equivalent college course work, preferably in a business discipline, or the equivalent in related training or work experience.Minimum 2 years of rebuying/inventory planning experience required, including analysis and recommendations. Candidates must have intermediate MS Excel and basic MS Access abilities, including writing formulas and manipulating queries.Ability to work independently with little supervision; self-motivation a must Demonstrates excellent organizational and informational gathering skills.Candidates must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation by phone.Must be able to work in a fast- paced team-oriented environment.
