Investment Administrator/Administrative Assistant

 

Family Office

 

The Family Office administers the investments and related activities including oversight of the family’s not-for-profit foundation for the Royce family. Mr. Royce is the Chief Investment Officer and founder of Royce & Associates, LLC, a substantial manager of mutual funds in New York City.  Royce Family Office is looking for an individual to fill the position of Investment Assistant in its Greenwich, CT office.

 

Position:

Investment Assistant

The Investment Assistant is an integral member of the staff that will perform a wide variety of duties.   Responsibilities range from maintaining portfolio databases and preparing a variety of monthly reports to maintaining electronic and paper files and general administrative duties. This position reports to the Senior Investment officer. 

 Position Responsibilities Communicate with external partnerships and money managers to ensure timely receipt of return estimates, statements, and other documentation. Maintain various periodic investment reports including partnership valuation worksheets, return calculation, and reconciliation of partnership accounts. Perform various investment research projects as needed. Set-up and maintain investment documentation files using electronic and paper systems including copying and scanning of original documentation. Preparation of new account documentation Responsible for the timely delivery of tax, accounting and investment documentation to off-site staff as well as external consultants. General administrative duties including answering telephones, copying, opening mail and filing.

 Skill and Knowledge Requirements Bachelors Degree preferred but not required Above average proficiency using MS Office programs, Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point is required Basic understanding of investments and familiarity with related terminology Highly developed interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations Positive attitude toward team environment where no task is considered too big or too small Organized and detail-oriented Ability to multi-task and prioritize is essential Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Prior experience in a family office highly desirable Excellent verbal and written communication skills
