Java Developer (FAST)

Our prestigious client in Washington DC needs a Java Developer with an emphasis on working with FAST search integration.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Performing as the technical expert with thorough understanding of the business application of the assigned project. Perform as a FAST Search Engine lead with the responsibility for the development and instruction of the search related, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned software developers working on a specific project. Assists in the scheduling and coordinating of projects and will be involved in the design phases. Works with business representatives and technical staff in the resolution of software problems and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements. Participates in the analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of the Web site's software modules. Develop custom programs for integration code of Tridion Web Content Management System, FAST search engine, Macrovision eCommerce and identity management for a major web site re-launch. Create Web front-end user interface to new or existing databases using a combination of HTML, SQL, JSP, JSF, Java and/or other languages to make business applications accessible.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 5-8 years of Java programming experience Minimum of 2 years experience developing web based applications using JSP / JSF/ Spring/ Struts / Servlets /JDBC Working knowledge of JMS, EJBs, Eclipse, JBOSS, Apache, Tomcat, and Ant. Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS required. Proficiency with relational database systems and SQL, preference with MS SQL Server Experience in XML / XSLT is desired Must have experience with FAST search integration applications and exposure to large content management systems. Must possess a thorough knowledge of programming and server software operations on large projects. Requires Bachelors degree (in Computer Science or related field)
