Junior HR Generalist

We are a rapidly growing company serving the retail wireless industry by providing a complete suite of services to meet the needs of small and large retailers.



The HR Generalist is a new position created to augment the Director of Human Resources by assuming responsibility for a variety of duties related to the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department, including the administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs for the company as a whole and may be the primary point of contact for HR services to particular client accounts. This position will also serve as the primary backup for the Payroll Manager and may have light payroll responsibilities on an ongoing basis.







Responsibilities:



Verify new hire paperwork is completed at remote locations and submitted to corporate.



Communicate all staff changes to the HR outsourcing provider.



Assist the Payroll Manager in submitting payroll data to HR outsourcing provider for processing. Assist in resolution of any payroll issues.



Serve as internal resource for any payroll, benefits, or employee relations issues.



Look for ways to improve efficiencies related to human resources and payroll reporting



Work with remote Retail Managers to enroll and manage store-level employees.



Files and maintains employment records for future reference.





Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree is desired; HR certification is a plus.



A minimum of 2-5 years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions. Must have understanding of general HR issues and Payroll processes.



Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task daily to meet deadlines.



Strong oral and written communication skills are required for internal and external interface.



This seasoned professional will be comfortable working in a hands-on department and serving as the go-to person for HR issues on particular accounts, assuming ownership of HR tasks.



General knowledge of employment laws and practices.



Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs.



Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.



Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.



Maintain a high level of confidentiality.



Excellent organizational skills



Analytical skills are necessary for ongoing review of field HR reports.



Must work well without direct supervision.
