We provide accurate product information, quicker time to shelf, reductions in error related costs and a smoother road for supply chain collaboration and the development of e-business systems
POSITION SUMMARY
This position supports key customers (individual or groups of customers) to provide solutions to meet customer needs. Provides ‘one face to the customer’ for all GS1 US services coordinating activities across business units / product lines. Creates strategic account plans and uses consultative approach to solution selling. Supports Industry Development strategy by delivering solutions to meet their customer’s needs and thereby expanding the use of GS1US Standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES Develop and enhance the end relationship of the key accountDevelop strategic customer plans in conjunction with business unit / product line leaders Work with solutions organization to deliver the right solution to solve specific customer problems. Works to advocate the adoption of standards in the appropriate industry Identifies and resolves account issues (billing, customer service) Leads the identification of internal business process changes in order to best serve the customer Liaison between key customers and business units / product lines
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Initially none.
· Must influence and leverage many individuals across the organization.
· Drives virtual teams.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· 10 or more years of experience in industries related to our key customer industries, RETAIL, CPG, GROCERY, CONVENIENCE, FOOD SERVICE, F&B, DEPARTMENT STORE, CHAIN DRUG, HARDLINES
· Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES-
· Multi-Domain Knowledge (preferred) Grocery, Chain Drug, CPG, Retail, Healthcare, Chemical, Other Industry Verticals
· Key Account management experience
· Ability to quickly learn all product offerings
· Customer oriented
· Boundary Spanning Effectiveness
· Can get things done across multi-functional areas
· Team orientation
· Strategic Thinker - ability to link industry adoption efforts to key account planning-
· Effective relationship builder – one on one, one to many, internally and externally-
· Supply chain knowledge very important
· IT Knowledge would be helpful

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Frequent travel to customer and other sites or events (35%)
While we prefer the candidate to be living in the Dallas, Texas area we will entertain those candidates around the country that are open to relocation or that would travel into the SW area of the country.
